    Description

    Wolfsohn Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Striped & Gold Miniature Cup
    Very pretty miniature porcelain cup and saucer. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple on both the cup and saucer. With a border of black and red stripes and gold scrollwork. Marked on the reverse with the Augustus Rex AR mark, which was used by Helena Wolfsohn between 1843 and 1883.
    Has a small tight crack through the base of the handle and some wear to the gilding. No additional chips or cracks.
    The cup measures approximately 2 1/4 inches wide x 1 1/8 inches tall.
    The saucer measures approximately 2 3/4 inches wide.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
