    Description

    Real Photo Postcard RPPC.
A few days ago, we listed 2 postcards showing a street view of a town near Youngstown, Ohio. The photographer was from Youngstown, so we identified it as from there or nearby. Someone contacted us and let us know these photographs show Farrell, Pennsylvania a town about 20 miles from Youngstown. We found a few more postcards from Farrell and are listing them today. See our other auctions for 2 more, these show the Kester Funeral Director and Undertaker.
This view shows a trapeze artist or daredevil, that has just jumped off and hopefully landed on a trampoline below. There is a sign that reads "Farrell's First Big Picnic." We believe the town is fairly new, and a steel town (Sharon Steel). The homes in the background were probably built for the steelworkers. Everyone seems to be having a good time.
