Description
The Kraken Video Lights offer high performance at a lower cost, making them an ideal option for all levels of videographer. The Kraken Hydra 5000includes a flood, spot, red and UV beams, making it a truly a universal light. An optional remote control allows for easy adjustments directly from the handle of your tray. The light head of the Kraken Hydra 5000 is water resistant, which protects the expensive light elements in case of a flood. Light can be used as a regular dive light, or as a focus or video light as well. Divers who want to shoot fluorescent photography will have a strong light source. The two-button layout mean that you use one button to select the mode, and the other to select the output level. No hard-to-remember sequences on a single button. All of the lights utilize multi-cell battery packs, with quality, fast chargers. Recharge time is about 3 hours from a completely drained state.
The Kraken Hydra 5000 WSRU has a wide beam using CXA2540 COB LED to produce 5000 lumens of brightness in flood and 800 in spot, with a 120°beam angle on land and 110° beam underwater for great coverage of subject matter. Spot beam is 15°. Light has a color temperature of wide 5000°K and spot of 6500°K. The red-light mode is illuminated by 6 x XPE2 N4 620nm LED's and the UV mode 4 x 380nm +4 x 420nm LED's.
Power is supplied by 4 x 18650 wrapped to a single cell lithium-ion battery pack that provides a burn time of 65 minutes at 100% flood. The light has four modes of wide, spot, red, UV and an additional SOS function. In wide mode there is a flood power level of 100% 50% and 25%, in spot 100% 50% 25% and SOS. In red mode power levels are 100% 50% 25%. The light switch is a dual push button on/off intensity adjustment type w/battery level indicator. Kraken Hydra 5000 WSRU is depth rated to 330' (100 meters). Light measures (L x D) 5.1" x 217" (130mm x 55.2mm) and weighs 19.75 oz. (560 g) on land and 9.9 oz. (280 g) underwater. The Kraken Hydra lights come in a complete set that includes ball and YS style mounts, charger, lanyard, carrying case and an owner's manual.
