    Description

    Offered for sale is this monumental German porcelain urn with snake handles, entirely hand painted, decorated all around with Boucher style courting couples and Dresden flowers. It was made by Carl Teichert of Meissen before WW2. The painting on the base goes all around in one continuous scene.

    There are 2 Sevres type marks on the piece but this is not Serves porcelain

    This is a huge urn, it is 27.5 inches (70cm) tall. The base is 9.25 inches diameter. It weighs 18.5 pounds (8.4Kg).
    It is in excellent condition. The 3 large pieces of this urn need a new bolt to hold them together. There are 2 flakes on the top rim of the middle bolted piece that are largely hidden when the urn is assembled - the tip of the pen is pointing to one. There is essentially no wear to the decoration.
