    Description

Harley Ironhead Sportster K Model Stock Style Gas Tank 61006-57 1952-78 3.5 gal
This replica Ironhead Roadster gas tank has a right side petcock location, and fuel capacity of 3.5 gallons and is bolt-on for 1952-1978 Harley-Davidson Ironhead Sportsters. The front mounting tab holes to rear mount tab holes measure 21-1/4" center to center. The fuel opening is 4-1/2" from the front edge of the tank and 16" from the rear edge. This gas tank accepts a stock-style Large Diameter Bayonet Gas Cap and has a 3/8” NPT bung on each side for the petcocks.  Note: It is highly recommended to fit your gas tank to your bike before painting. Check for clearance or mounting issues as different combinations of triple trees, risers, and handlebars may cause clearance issues when turning. Tanks are pressure tested but it is highly recommended that you or your painter pressure test it again before painting; it's cheap insurance!
