Dresden Hand Painted Courting Couples Water Fort Cobalt & Gold Miniature Tea SetBeautiful miniature porcelain tea trio including teapot, creamer, and sugar. The teapot is decorated in cobalt with a hand painted scene on two sides depicting a fort on the water with boats and rocks. The scenes are framed in gold gilt scrollwork and net designs. The creamer and sugar are painted with courting couple scenes framed in the same gilding and small gold gilt flowers. The creamer is marked on the bottom with a blue underglaze crown above Dresden. This mark was registered by Donath & Co, Richard Klemm, Oswald Lorenz, and Adolph Hamann in 1883. It was re-registered on 1893 and used until 1916. The teapot is marked with a flower and the sugar is marked with a faint blue Dresden mark.
These have some wear to the gilding, but are in otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
The teapot measures approximately 4 3/4 inches wide from spout to handle 4 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.
The creamer measures approximately 2 3/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 2 3/8 inches tall.
