Description
CONDITION: ExcellentThis porcelain biscuit or cookie jar was produced in Germany in the late 19th century. The mark is partially missing and Saxonia is the only legible part. The exporter, Charles Ahrenfeldt, ordered china from Germany with the word Saxonia on it.
It might have been made for him. The care is 6 inches tall, including the lid. It is 7 1/2 inches across the handles. The jar is hand painted with delicate, colorful bunches of flowers and little buds. The edges at the top are ornately hand gilded. there is gold trim on the handles and lid. #C562
