  • Condition: Yes this one was used...a few chips... lid completely cracked and repaired 19th century repair...leg repair...please see photos...hand painted from another century a delicate object with utility so not a good combination of surviving intact.

    Description

    Up for consideration is fine early German Porcelain Pot Pourri Urn. It measures about 6.25 inches in height and is unamarked...it has an early hinge and was probably done by Carl Thieme...the lid has been split and repaired as well as the leg...there are a few chips around the waistband...the piece dates from later part of the 19th century or earlier...when you mix items that are delicate and have a particular function that is usually a recipe for undo wear....such as this piece...if you can find them they need to have been forgotten untouched and left in a cabinet for display for decades if not centuries this one was no so lucky...eache cartouche shows of a hand painted courting scene...it's ok to buy things that are a little beaten up and of course enjoy...just don't pay to much and you are ok....Please see photos as part of the description...it is unmarked...If you have any questions, concerns or something to share...please message me.
